Where did the ship go?
ROTA is a daily sea voyage puzzle. Every day a real commercial voyage: you see the port of departure and the track the ship drew, and you work out the port of arrival. There is no map — only the abstract geometry of the route and a compass rose.
In short
- You get six guesses.
- Every wrong guess gives you the range in kilometres and the true bearing from that port to the real destination.
- Bearings accumulate on the compass rose. Three wrong guesses means three crossing lines — and that crossing is the port of arrival.
- Every wrong guess also unlocks a clue: ship type, cargo, straits transited, arrival country, first letter.
